From Anders’ Swedish Olympic path to three BYU brothers in the circle — this is a family that throws.
Patriarch · Shot put · Coach
Swedish-born (b. 1947, Norrtälje). BYU All-American shot put (1975). PR 19.92 m. Four Swedish SM titles in the shot (1971, 1977–79). Olympic-qualified for Sweden — injury kept him from competing. Volunteer BYU throws coach who raised the kids in the circle.

Discus · Shot · Hammer
Oldest brother (b. 1978). Mountain View / BYU throws including hammer; MWC discus champ (2002). Later earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
Discus · Shot put · Coach
Dual Swedish–American citizen. Represented Sweden in the discus at the 2008 Beijing Olympics; four World Championships; five European Championships. NCAA discus champion (BYU, 2007). Swedish national titles in discus and shot. Personal bests: discus 66.46 m (2020), shot put 19.91 m indoor. Now coaches throws at BYU — following his father Anders.

Youngest brother (b. 1986). Shot put PR 20.50 m; discus 64.46 m. 2011 NCAA Indoor shot put champion; Worlds & Europeans for Sweden. Continues the coaching tradition.

Great-grandfather Bror Arrhenius is linked to Sweden’s 1912 Stockholm Olympics (tug-of-war / Olympic choir lore). Spårvägens FK club roots. The name has meant strength in Swedish sport for over a century.
